Nasiru Dole Ibrahim, Ph.D. was a lecturer in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto where he teaches Agricultural Entomology. He was born on 30th September, 1965 in Sabon Garin Dole, Goronyo Local Government, Sokoto State, where he had his primary education before proceeding to Government Secondary School, Shinkafi (1977-1982). He attended  Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (1984-1990), University of Ibadan (1993-1995) and earned his Ph. D. in Crop Protection from University of Ilorin in 2005. Professor Nasiru Dole joined the services of Usman Danfodiyo University in 1993 as Assistant Lecturer and became a Professor of Agricultural Entomology in 2012.

Professor N.D Ibrahim was Care Taker, Department of Crop Science (1997-1998), two times Acting Head, Department of Crop Science (1998-2001 and 2009-2013), Faculty Examinations Officer (1996-2001), Faculty Representative to Senate (1997-2001), Deputy Dean, Students’ Affairs (2005-2009), Chairman, Examinations Monitoring Committee (2012-2014) and currently Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), at Sokoto State University.

Professor N.D. Ibrahim has over 50 publications in peered reviewed journals in the area of control of field and storage insect pests of Cowpea, control of insect pest of onion, thrips (Thrips tabaci) using chemical and planting dates and control of storage pests of Bambara nut, Callosobruchus subinnotatus using raw diatomaceous earth and Jatropha seed powders (2016) . Others are “Response of Onion to Intra-row Spacing, Farm Yard Manure and Irrigation Frequency on Growth and Bulb Yield. (2014).

Member, National Executive Council of Entomological Society of Nigeria and Chairman, Sokoto branch of the Society from 2008-2014 and currently Council member, Agricultural Society of Nigeria, after serving as Secretary, Local Organizing Committee of the 45th Annual Conference, Agricultural Society of Nigeria held from 24th -28th -Oct, 2011.

Professor Ibrahim has supervised over 40 M.Sc. and Ph.D. in the related fields and has served as external Examiner to some Universities in Nigeria.
