ICT Unit
Information and Communication Technology Unit of the Sokoto State University is a unit mandated to provide ICT services and maintenance. The ICT strives to become an enabler of change within the University, by assisting all departments in the University to enhance effectiveness and productivity through the use of innovative technology.

The mission of the ICT Unit is to provide, coordinate, and facilitate the use of technology and information resources to the satisfaction of the University and its stakeholders.
Vision
The vision of the ICT Unit is to transform the University into an automated work environment that leverages the use of information resources and information technology.
Responsibilities of the Unit
Innovation
Promoting innovative use of information technology to improve both academic and non-academic activities of the University;
Network Infrastructure
Developing, implementing and managing Internet protocol network to provide a standard, efficient and secure University-wide infrastructure;
Campus Connectivity
Providing enhanced and broad telecommunications services to support the growing needs of the University;
IT Operation
Assisting departments and units in providing secure, reliable, University-wide IT operations;
Quality IT Service & Products
Managing and negotiating University's agreements for quality IT services and products in order to minimize cost and maximize value of ICT services and products of the University; and
Network Security
Protecting technology and information assets in the university.
